Wood Saw
I want to get into more detailed wood work, what kind of saw would be good for that?
I’m a crafter and need a saw that will allow me to do some finer and more detailed or delicate cutting. Some people have said a jig-saw, but it seems like it isn’t precise enough. Any suggestions?
Get a scroll saw. Works much better than a jig saw.
It’s entire purpose for existing is making intricate and detailed curved cuts.
You can probably get a cheap one for about $100, but more likely would end up spending more like $200.

Just occurred to me that I don’t know where you are so I came back to this question. My prices are based on US dollars.
In regards to Dune’s answer, a band saw and a scroll saw are NOT the same thing. Although a band saw can cut curves, it is not nearly as capable of intricate cuts as a scroll saw is.
