Can you sand and re-finsih dark-wood kitchen cabinets?
I just bought a house and the kitchen has dark wood cabinets. I am unsure if the color goes all the way through the wood. Can I just sand the cabinets and re-finsh them with a stain.

You don’t even want to try to sand them!!!!!!!!!
It will take a lot longer than you expect. Also, if you have any sides showing on your cabinets this material may not be able to be sanded.
Either replace or paint them.
Another option might be Sears.
I think they will reface them with a veneer
for a little less than a completely new set.
