Crash but not written up by police insurance money?
I pulled over on a snow covered should that turned out to be a straight hill, and ended up my jeep hanging by a tow rope on 3 wheels above creek nearly on its side. I told police there was no damage to avoid a ticket, but now my steering is messed up, and I have found a good deal on a new axle and steering system. Will my insurance pay for it?
You can put in a claim and see. You will have to pay your deductible if they do cover it, but they would only cover the steering piece that bent/broke, not the entire axle.
I am willing to bet that replacement steering parts would cost less than your deductible
