2003 GrandAM GT – Alum Alloy Wheel Problem?
I recently had new tired put on my car and now one of them loses air slowly. When they dunk the tire in water they found that there was a slow leak at the bead. I have had the tire taken off the rim three times and had the Alum Alloy Wheel wire brushed to remove the crud on the rim. The dealer is telling me that if it keeps happening I will need a new rim. You guys have any suggesions on how to fix this. I am hoping the third time was the charm and it will be fixed, but if not want to have some options available. Thanks
After the Alum Alloy Wheel is wire brushed to remove the crud have them use a bead sealer. It’s brushed on. It will allow the tire bead to seat, then seal.This happens more often then you might think.
