What a good welder Mig?? 110 or 220?
I need to buy a MIG welder and there are so many out there. I not know weather to buy 110 volts and 220 volts. It was mainly used for recreation like going vessel cart etc. Please help ..
The 110 volt works okay on light metal (plates and angles of light), but the voltage of 220 will allow you to weld thicker and make a deeper penetration on all welds. You should be able to buy decent welder wire for about $ 400 to $ 500 with a trolley and accessories. If you add gas, the price will go up as gas and the tank. If you want to do things, go for the V 220 and have installed a socket for plugging. Some brands are good century, Hobart, Clarke, Sears. A good place to look in the stores is firm. They sell to the crowd of more DIY welding shops that do.
