trouble about corn snake heating! BEST ANSWER 10 POINTS ! ! ! !?
i have a 3ft by 20inch viv at one end there is a small heat mat and the other an infra red light. Should i have both of them on at the same time?
the heat mat is about 12 volts.

I would take the heat mat out. Corns, like most snakes only need one heat source and on the other side a cool side. If both sides are heated then it has nowhere to cool itself off. If your house isn’t to warm and the enclosure has a screen top just cover it with a small towel. Give the corn a basking spot of 88-90 deg on that hot side.
