Volt Nimh
can i use AA batteries in a device that usually uses a AAA battery?
my moms keyboard uses 4 AAA batteries, and im sick of changing them every month. i have a lot of AA rechargeables.
AAA batteries are 1.5 volts. i have NiMH AA batteries. they are 1.2 volts
can i cut out the wires and tape the AA batteries inside?
will that work? or will i fry my moms keyboard?
Like Tom mentioned, AA, AAA, C and D batteries have the same voltage. As Alkaline ( non rechargeable ), they are all 1.5volt and the only thing that changes is the capacity….
Rechargeables, are the same but work on 1.2v which is just a bit lower that Alkaline. So it won’t fry the keyboard at all, I could have a lower signal range due to the voltage being lower, however, it won’t damage the keyboard system at all and should work just fine.
