Black & Decker VP143 Batteries
Great package. I only wish the batteries (NiCad) would last longer. Will B&D offer compatible batteries of a new type (perhaps involving Lithium?) in the future? A B&D and Battery Afficionado
Batteries not included
I was able to obtain a few of the accessories of the Black & Decker Versapak series from a Tool Library yard sale. I got a saw, 2 screwdriver, a snake light and the charger all for $3. It made sense to look for the batteries here. I cannot comment yet on how well it works (nor does the charger tell you when it’s done charging) but I used the snake light and saw and they both worked well with this battery. It came new and sealed, which I was extremely happy about!
Great purchase
I have not been able to use my driver nor my drill for a year. I could not find this item at any hardware store. Thanks I am using it every day now.

Received these quickly. Required no charging before use. Using with a drill and dustbuster. Can be used as substitute for VP110.

Very good deal on two versapak gold batteries. In the stores these batteries are almost $20 a piece. Very good deal.

As others have also said, these new versa pak batteries really have the power. My hand vacuum is like new. Glad I didn’t take it to the thrift shop. Since these new batteries are LiON (?) they should last longer than the old NiCad ones. That will be nice.
Gold Pack Batteries
I’ve had a Sears Cordless screwdriver for over 10 years. When I needed it to do a job the existing battery didn’t hold a charge. After scouring the Sears website for a replacement I found they didn’t have anything acceptable for this tool. So I went on a search & found that Amazon offered a twin pack of this item at a tremendous price so I purchased the Black & Decker Versapak twin pack. These batteries should hold me for the next 10 years for sure.
New life!
Replaced the original batteries that came with my cordless vacuum. Not surprisingly, it’s back to running like it did when it was new (funny how a new power supply can do that!). They’re a bit pricy, but saved me from having to buy a new vac — if these batts last as long as the first set, it’s money well spent.
Better than new!
These batteries are better than the ones that came with the dust buster when new.
