Variable Speed
What is a variable speed air handler and can you get them for regular homes?
I am looking at buying a home that is being built and I know that the hvac unit I want needs a high seer rating, but I was just told about variable speed air handlers and I am looking for more info on them. Do they reduce your operating cost (ie electric bill)? Are they standard with higher end hvac units for homes? Are they expensive?
The house I am looking at is 3200sqfeet and isnt’ coming with 2 ac’s because of the very open floor plan (or at least that is what the builder says).
