Valve Rough
What does a “control valve” do and is it expensive to repair/replace? My car must be idling rough…?
My check engine light told me I had an “idle error” and to check my control valve. What is this? I don’t notice that it’s running like crap or anything.
I drive a subaru outback spt. 2001 manual transmission
The first thing that you should do is to make sure that you have a clean air filter. After checking this I would next clean the throttle body with a good throttle body solvent, both inside and outside the throttle body. Finally, have the computer reset and wait to see if the error returns.
