is there any way to mount my license plate legally with out putting it under the tail?
I have a vertical swingarm mount now! I live in pennsylvania. A cop pulled me over for it and said I have to change it

Yep, you can have it pretty much anywhere on the back of your bike as long as it’s visible and has a light shining on it. Some old Harleys had it mounted to the side.
