Should I polish my dresser repainted?
So I had a white antique dresser that has turned into an ugly yellow piece of furniture. I decided to do something. I started it with an oil base primer Kilzer then painted with BEHR premium and ultra the beginning of a stroke with a flat enamel finish. The paint looks good, it is dry, I know it takes a week to heal and he will never be perfect because I have no sand, but I'm not looking for perfect and I do not want to put a lot of work in this case. Anyway, do I lacquer buffet or simply leave it be, I do not store anything on top of it.
I have one or two layers of water based poly on it. If you like the satin matte finish, and use. If you want it brighter then use semi-gloss or gloss poly. Use a sponge roller and brush foam application and place the roller and brush in the freezer until the second coat the next day. I usually use some shape of the plate of food available to microwaves as a paint tray and soak my rolls in the box and tray to get the poly off excess. Once the poly has cured after a few days, you can clean the furniture with a damp microfiber cloth to polish the furniture not needed.
