What the hell is wrong with my back?
I play ice hockey and had practice yesterday. During a drill I got blacsted into the boards and my upper right back near the spine and my right ribs hurt. I had difficulty breathing after and still do but not as much. It especially hurts when I try to lift things, twist getting up when lying down, and coughing. Please help.
Might have torn a ligament or cracked a rib or vertebra. Worse case scenario is a herniated disc that can take several weeks to several months to heal and the pain level to become more bareable.
You need at least six weeks of healing time and don’t do any lifting or other strenuous activities during that time period. Your doc would order an x-ray first to check for broken bones and then an MRI to look for tissue damage or a herniated disc.
