How can I arrange my bedroom?
My bedroom is rather small. The west wall (the one you face when you enter) has a window with a window sill and the north wall has a window simailarly placed. The east wall has the entry door on the right and a closet door on the left. In the center of this wall is where I must place the TV (the cable come up here). I also need to fit a twin bed, bed stand, lounge chair and dresser. How on earth can I arrange my room to fit all of my stuff, without having it look too cluttered? What should I get rid of (have to have the desk for school), if nessasary?
I can’t ask my parents to buy a larger house, just because I have a small room.
I LOVE answering questions like this! You gave some good ideas of your problem (placement of windows & doors, etc.), but without room dimensions, this suggestion can only be tentative.
Try putting your bed lengthwise on the west wall under the window, with the headboard against the south wall. Then you can put the nightstand next to it, and the lounge chair next to that where it can share the nightstand as a place to put down a beverage or book or… Hopefully, your TV on the east wall can be angled toward the lounge chair and/or bed depending on your TV watching preferences. Then you should be able to put your desk on the west wall under the window, and your dresser on one side of it. You didn’t mention a bookcase, but if you need one – and schoolwork often requires books and other references – it can go on the other side of the desk.
