How much golden syrup would I need to fill a bath tub?
It’s always been a dream of mine to bathe in a bath tub of golden syrup, I’ve just got a big bonus from work so I’ve decided to fulfill this dream! Money is no object! I was going to get big tubs of it from a local chinese supermarket and was wondering how much I will need. Any thoughts?
To keep from wasting a bunch, get in the tub you plan to use and fill it with water until it reaches the overflow with you in it. Get out of the tub and let the sloshing water settle down. Measure the depth the water in the middle. Measure the length and width of the surface. If you measure in inches, one gallon is 231 cubic inches so multiply the three numbers together and divide by 231. If you measure in centimeters, multiply the 3 numbers together and divide by 1000 to get liters. This will be somewhat more than you actually need because of the narrowing of the bottom and the curve of the lower seams.
