What do the numbers on the handle of a torque wrench mean?
On my torque wrench I can see the ft/lbs scale but on the handle that I twist there are numbers that say 0 2 4 6 8. What do these mean?
I understand what a ft/lb is, and how to torque a bolt. However, my previous torque (much older one) did not have these numbers on the twistable handle.

Those are the numbers you add to the setting. For example, if you set it on 150 lbs, and the center line matches the 6, you have 156 ft/lbs of torque.
