linear regression is a mathematical tool?
linear regression is a mathematical tool that is used to represent the relationship between independent and dependent variables algebraically. business should make extensive use of this tool in formulating strategy. is this true or false?
The way I learned linear regression is that it is the amount of variability in the dependent variable accounted for by the independent variable. Without knowing much about business, I think it would be a good strategy to use to find out how well the product is, or something like that.
An example I came up with off the top of my head would be dealing with toothpaste. How much of the cavity prevention/plaque reduction is due to the type of toothpaste being used? That’s what linear regression is for.
Again, I don’t know very much about business, but I hope I helped. In short, my answer would be “True”.
