What is the weight a tempered glass table will hold?
i would like to buy a tv table from ikea which is made from tempered glass and steel. i would like to know wether the table can support the weight of my 25kg flat screen tv
Tempered glass will hold 50 MPa per 42 mm. This means that most tempered glass, manufactured today, can hold a minimum 150 kgs, or 300 lbs, safely.
If you are purchasing it from Ikea, chances are exceedingly good it has been rated beyond 300 kgs.
