Why Invest in a Powerstar Ae125 Electric Tankless Water Heater?
Unlike tank style water heaters, a PowerStar ae125 electric tankless water heater heats water as it enters the home. Most heaters in the U.S. use electricity, natural gas or propane to heat water. Heating a large amount of liquid takes a lot of energy and is one of the least efficient uses of energy. Electric heaters tend to be more efficient than gas heaters and they heat water faster. In the case of a tank style heaters, unless it is well insulated, there can be significant loss of energy through simple heat exchange with the air outside the tank.

The average temperature of water entering the house is about 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This varies depending on where you live. In Maine the water would be colder, in Florida it would be warmer. Since most water is heated to between 105 and 120 degrees for household use, the temperature of the water must be raised by about 55 degrees. A PowerStar ae125 electric tankless water heater produces more hot water more quickly and efficiently than storage heaters. Since they are electric, they also use the most efficient power source for heating water.
One of the greatest advantages of a PowerStar ae125electric tankless water heater is that it produces hot water continuously as you need it. There is no waiting for a tank to heat up. In some areas of the US it is possible to heat water in a solar heater. These units are usually located on the roof of your home. For a solar heater to be practical, the climate must be relatively warm and have good sun exposure. Even under these conditions, solar heaters may not provide enough hot water, or hot enough water, for the average American household. Most households that use solar water heaters need to supplement their hot water source.
Powerstar electric water heaters can be an excellent supplement to a solar heaters. Solar heaters use storage tanks where the water is heated. Powerstar water heaters are a tankless systems which heat water on demand. If the water from the solar unit is not hot enough, the system will heat the liquid to the desired temperature with electricity. The heating unit only comes on when the water is not hot enough. The warmer the water entering the system, the less power it will use. Powerstar electric water heaters are energy efficient and will produce a continuous supply of hot water regardless of weather conditions.
Solar heaters save a lot of energy, since heating water is one of the least efficient uses of energy. The drawback is that if the weather is not sunny for a day or two, or if the outside temperature is too cool, you may not have sufficient hot H2O for your needs. Powerstar electric water heaters can produce hot water only as you need it to supplement you solar water heater. Even if you live in a very sunny, warm climate, you may not be able to produce enough hot water to meet all the needs of your household with a solar heater.
Even all solar homes usually require a supplemental power source and a backup heating system. If you depend on the sun for your hot water, it is wise to have a backup system to heat your water. Unless, of course, you like cold showers.
