Lathe Table

Grade 10 math problems! please help! I need to know two equations and using the substitution. THANK YOU!?

A carpentry workshop makes table and chairs. To make a chair, it takes 8 minutes in the foam and it takes 8 minutes on the sander. To make a table, 8 min required in the lathe, 20 minutes required in Samden. The turner 6h/day works, and works 7h/day sander operator. How many chairs and the table can do in a day's work in this capacity.

Let t be the number of tables in fact, and let c be the number of chairs. Then we can write an equation for the time around: {1} 8c 8c + = 360 and the other equation Sander at the time: {2} 8c + 20 t = 420 and solve (by substitution, as requested): {3} c + t = 45 [{1} divided by 8] {4} c = 45 - t [t subtracting both sides of {3}] {5} 8 (45 - t) + 20 t = 420 [replacing c with {4} to {2}] {6} 12 t = 60 [simplifying {5 }] {7} t = 5 [Dividing both sides by 12 {6}] {8} c = 40 [replacing t {4}] They can make 40 chairs (which requires 320 minutes on each machine) and 5 tables (which requires 40 minutes on the lathe and sander 100 minutes) for a total of 360 minutes = 6 hours on the lathe and 420 minutes = 7 hours of the sander.
