What is the difference between a hammer drill and an sds drill?
Reading between the lines, the commander, I wonder if you are actually asking what ....... is the difference between a hammer drill for common everyday use (often called "hammer drill and a drill sds. If that is your question, a hammer drill, usually runs about 3000 rpm and delivers about 40,000 strokes per minute at a fixed bit into the chuck. A sds drill works much slower, but has a pneumatic action to deliver blows at a rate of 5,000 shots maybe a minute. The pneumatic mechanism gives a much more powerful shots and passes through hard material like a knife through butter. Percussion drills struggle in comparison.
