What kind of paint should I use for switchplate & outlet covers?
I’m redecorating my daughters room and want to paint designs on her light switch and outlet covers. Does anyone know what kind of paint I should use?
To the ‘just buy one’ response, I’ve already considered this option. Nowhere I’ve looked (even ebay) had one that’s even close to what I’m looking for. Thanks
If you are using plastic covers, sand them lightly with fine (120 or higher) grit sandpaper to rough up the surface a bit first.
I would use the little jars of paint made for plastic models (get it at a craft store) just be careful, because that stuff will not wash out if you spill it. Then, to be safe, seal it with clear sealer (spray or brush-on) after you are done to keep it from getting scratched off.
