Switch Plate
I don’t need the light switch plate anymore, I bought a plate that doesn’t have any openning?
I wanted to replace the one with opening. because I put scotch tape on the switch. after I unscrwed the plate, I was not able to take the switch out because of electrical wires. How can I take out the switch? Thanks
This is the work of an electrician. He needs to remove the screws that hold the switch, remove the old switch and connect back the wires directly and insulate them by insulating tape. Before this, he might also switch off the mains to avoid electrical accidents. The whole activity is about 10 minutes maximum.
Good thinking to replace the plate. It improves the look.
