Switch Outlet
After installing a new electrical outlet i have lost all power to the outlet and the light switch.?
I have replaced my light switch to a rocker switch (everything worked just fine) then i replace the outlet that the light switch activated, and now i have lost all power to the outlet, light switch. and second outlet that is all jumpered together. I have replaced the circuit breaker (power is fine there) but im not getting power to the outlet or light switch. Any help is great!!!!
The problem is in the light switch connections or the switch is faulty. I would redo all those connectons then test it out, if it still don’t work try a different switch. because if outlet #2 is coming from outlet#1 that means the power has to travel through #1 to get to this point, and there is no power here.
If the power from #1 comes from the switch to get to this point, and there is no power at #1 the problem goes back to a previous point again. So the switch is wherein the probem lies.
