stripping coaxial cable?
how can i strip coaxial cable without stripper. I only have a cutter
Easy enough with a scalpel or some scissors! Gently scribe round the outer coating then scribe a line down from the top and tease it off. It should split and peel off. Pull down the braided shielding to where you want to cut it and cut round with some small scissors. Gently slice into the dialectric with scissors, almost to the center contact. Usually best to finish off with finger nails to avoid breaking the contact. Just try and wiggle it off. Remember to mark out your dimensions on a bit of masking tape before hand on the table as a cutting guide. Hope this is of help?
