Does YA have a duty of care regarding the standards of answers?
Why is the standard of answers on this website is so poor? I just posted an obvious DV question in the gender and women’s studies section and was surprised at all the answers I received either rationalising, excusing it or victim blaming. No one suggested calling the police and the only person who said he had no right to do it to me, ruined her answer by victim blaming.
yahoo answers is turning to a play ground for kids. when i see a question i can answer, i answer to my best of my ability and ensure at the end of the day, i have truly helped that person. i really think that answers like ”idk” or ”who cares” should be deleted immidiately because they did not really help. i also believe that if someone sees a question they know the very well cannot answer they should not click that answer button…
