How easily is Salmonella spread?
The other day I threw out old uncooked chicken breasts from the fridge, and in the morning the trash can smelled… so our roommate decided to clean out the trash can in the kitchen sink! I have chloroxed the counter tops, but just found that the sticky crap all over the kitchen floor was possibly chicken blood too. I thought it was just juice or something, but now i’m sure it was the blood. The dried blood has been sitting there for 2 days now and we’ve been walking through it. There is a baby in the house, and I do not want him catching anything! I’m very careful not to put him on the carpets or anything now, and want to know could we have spread all over the house from walking in it? We are going to shampoo the rugs in a few hours, but will this be good enough?
