How do I fix my leaky faucet?
My kitchen faucet is dripping every 30 seconds or so from the spout. I’d like to fix this myself so i don’t have to pay someone to do it. Can anyone help me with some simple directions?

First shut off the water to the faucet. Some homes you have to shut the main water valve off. Most homes have a shut off valve under the sink.
Now this is where it gets tricky. Depending if it has 1 knob for hot and cold or it has two knobs for hot and one for cold.
The two knob is easy if they are plastic knobs with the H and C on top you need to take a flat blade screw driver or a butter knife to remove the knob caps its where the tops have H and C on them. Under those H and C caps there is a philips screw. Remove the screw. Then pull up the the plastic knob you will see the valve that needs replaced. Others have the philips screw in plain sight just remove the screw and pull off the handle. You will see two flat surfaces on the valve itself where you can use pliers, Vice grips, channel lock pliers to unscrew the valve. When you get them unscrewed take them to a hardware store and they will give you a matching type. Then put it back together making sure your new valves are screwed in tight before putting the knobs back on.
Sometimes the philips screw under those caps are rusted and will not unscrew. If that happens you will need to break the knob off by hammering on it if they are plastic.. They can be bought new very cheap if you need to break them off.
For the one handle type you might as well buy a new faucet those things are a pain to fix. If the valve ball is scratched up the new seal will fail quickly and those have springs under the seals which makes it harder.
To replace those you have to remove the water lines and unbolt the faucet from the sink. Drop in the new one. Put the lock nuts back on and depending on what type of water lines you got it can become difficult if you never done this before. I cant see the type of water lines you got. Some are plastic type and most are compression fittings and copper tubing.
