Choosing Bamboo Hardwood Flooring
Remodeling is an exciting time of looking through new items for the home. Choosing flooring, countertops and furnishings can be both fun and exasperating at the same time. With a few tips on choosing bamboo hardwood flooring it is possible to cut out the exasperation and get on with the elation of a new bamboo hardwood floor.
First, the decision must be made as to who is going to install the flooring. This will lead to making the right decision on the type of bamboo hardwood flooring, either solid bamboo if it is being installed by a professional or engineered if the homeowner is going to install it. Engineered bamboo flooring is typically a click-lock installation while solid bamboo hardwood flooring is nailed or glued.
After the type of bamboo flooring is decided a pattern has to be chosen. The choices are either horizontal or vertical patterns and the decision is usually best decided based on the size of the room. Horizontal patterns tend to work best in smaller rooms while vertical patterns work in larger rooms.
The most difficult decision will probably be the color of the bamboo floor. Natural blond is the original color of bamboo hardwood flooring and is a popular choice for many homeowners. It lends itself well any décor. For those who desire a darker coloring, carbonized bamboo flooring offers deep ambers that are dramatic and elegant and yet can be dressed up or down depending on the designer’s taste.
Finally, if rich ambers and light blondes don’t offer enough choices there are manufacturers who offer stained bamboo to suit any taste. This makes it possible for the hardwood bamboo floor to be had in any color.
Engineered or solid, horizontal or vertical, and colors galore, bamboo hardwood flooring offers something for everyone. The hardest decision is making the final decision on these choices.
