Soldering Question (Cant seem to apply solder to circuit board)?
I’m trying to apply solder to a certain part of the circuit board where something broke off from, so it looks like the little bits that allowed solder to be added ripped off. Is there by any chance a method to add solder onto this part of the circuit board?
Everytime I try to add solder, it just sticks onto my soldering tool. When I tried to add solder elsewhere though, it seems to work just fine.
[Details will be greatly appreciated, as i'm still new to soldering]
It sounds like you’ve used too much heat, and have lifted a “trace” or a “pad”.
You will need to replace the missing trace or pad with a piece of wire. You can glue the wire to the board, then solder each end to where they need to go.
