How to keep room free of smoke smell.?
My dad smokes a carton a week. I would like to know what is the best thing to use to keep the house from stinking so bad. fan in the window,smokeless ashtray, ionizer, or something else. Other than quiting.
I feel for you my mother-in-law smokes. It really is difficult to control the odor and it takes a multi-proned, concerted effort. They sell smoker’s candles, Ozium spray to eliminate smoke oder, fabreeze or Lysol fabric spray for carpet, upholstery and fabric items, smokeless ashtrays and ionizers help, fans turned to exhaust while the person is smoking help move the air so the smoke doesn’t have time to completely infiltrate everything in the room, baking soda, borax or carpet fresh sprinkled on carpet helps absorb it and bowls of vinegar placed around the house do the same thing. Non-smokers will always be able to tell that a smoker lived in a house, but these methods do make it bearable for a non-smoker to live with a smoker…
