How do I take apart my garbage disposal?
I have an in-sink-erator model 1-83. My 3 year old daughter attempted to help me with the dishes today and decided that 2 cups of shredded beef could go down the disposal… 5 minutes later I have the p-trap off, clear with no blockage, and my second sink is draining just fine so I know its not a clog in the wall. I took off every pipe under the sink and got a decent amount of stuff out of the pipe directly connected to the disposal but it still isn’t draining. How do I take the actual disposal apart?
Tried the allen wrench, still clogged.
there is a hexagon shaped hole at the center of the bottom of the disposal. If you use an allen wrench, you can usually loosen it up and unclog it. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask me.
