How do you turn old valves of which haven’t been turned in probably 40 years and won’t budge.?
I livein a MDU Condo and I can’t turn the bathroom sink Valves at all. I can’t turn the water off to the whole buiding obviously inconviencing everyone else. Does any have any tricks for getting these old valves to turn. Old brass Valves. Really don’t want to have t shell out the money for a plumber just for shutting the water off so I can finished removing old vanity and begin installing a new Vanity and sink. Thanks
Heat, our thermic friend. Find yourself a nice butane gas torch, let the flame lick around the valve for a while, then turn it with ease.
Aren’t different coefficients of expansion fun? 
Have a glove on, of course. Don’t burn your fingers.
