Pole barns have so many different uses, and they come in many sizes, so be sure to shop around, and on line, for a variety of pole barn prices.
You can get them with different pitch roofs, as well, and you will want to think about what pitch would be best for the climate in which you live. A flat roof may be just fine, or you may need a steeper pitch for snowfall climates.
These barns are usually made of quality metal. An extra building on a property with acreage adds to the value of the land.
Often called outbuildings, or pole buildings, these pole barns can be used for storage, animal shelter, tool sheds, and work bench and hobby spaces. They are built strong, to endure the harsh elements of different climates, yet they are relatively lightweight. They could be insulated and assembled any way you like.
When you shop online for pole barns, you will be able to input the dimensions you desire for the barn to be. The pricing for materials, concrete and labor should also be figured in, and you can have it custom built according to those dimensions. They can have windows, a number of doors, if you like, and even larger doors for tractors and so on. You will want to include the length of the building, the width and the height. And you will have a choice for the pitch of the roof.
You will also need a concrete floor, so that the building is anchored to the ground. This way it will not shift or blow of the foundation in a wind storm. It will become a permanent piece of your property.
One example of a price for a pole barn with one twelve foot single sliding door and one three foot steel entry door is about $4,700. This would be for a twenty-four feet long, thirty-two feet wide, and ten feet high pole barn. By just adding eight more feet to the width of the barn, you would add approximately six hundred and fifty dollars to the price. Another example would be a 40x60x14 foot barn, that is forty feet long, sixty feet wide, and fourteen feet high, that includes a sixteen foot sliding door and a three foot entry door. This would be approximately $12,700.
You can buy pole barn kits and supplies on line or at your local home and building center. They could include fiberglass insulation for the metal buildings, or reflective insulation. There are also accessories available, such as edge of roof line stands for warning purposes, and lift accessories.
