What is causing my car to idol and shut off at times when i start it and sometimes stop at a light?
I have a 2001 ford escape. When i start my car, it idols really then acts like it wants to shut off. At times it does shut off.
2001 ford escape. Sometimes when i hit the gas it feels like my car isnt getting any power, but then the power kicks in. This always happens when i start my car and stop at a light.
As a good idea to know yourself, find out how to bring up the fault codes yourself (if that year still provides them via blinking check engine light). Google “fault codes” for you model.
