What’s wrong with my pen tool on Paint Shop Pro?
Every time I use my freestyle pen tool, it fills, but I want a single flowing line. How do I get it to stop filling?
I opened my PSP to experiment and it took a few minutes. In the Background and Fill Properties box (usually white) in the Materials Palette make sure that you click on the Transparent icon – the circle with the slash through it – when you use the pen tool. Because it’s usually white, when we draw on a white background, we don’t notice that the lines and curves we draw fill with white but if you use the pen tool on a non-white background everything you draw will fill with white. Or if that box has a color or pattern in it, everything you draw with the pen tool fills up with it. I never knew this would happen. Thanks for the chance to learn something new.
