Sharp Burr
deburring pvc?
i just finished laying out the pvc lines for my sprinkler system. i used a pvc pipe cutter to cut the pipes and i cleaned it of all the sharp edges. but i wasnt able to debur the inside of the pipe. someone told me to use a deburring tool but i couldn’t find one. but i made sure that it was clean and had no burrs. will it affect the flow of water?
The only thing a burr will do is cause turbulence in the water. Using a PVC cutter should not have produced any appreciable burrs. I have a habit of running a knife blade around the inside of the cuts but I won’t say it is absolutely necessary.
