which type of freed pointe shoes should i try?
i’ve noticed that a lot of people at my dance studio are switching to freeds, regardless of their origonal brand that they usually get. i’ve figured that i should at least try some the next time that i get fitted, but i’m not sure which ones to try (studios, classics, ect.)
my favorites out of the 4 pairs of pointe shoes that i’ve had are grisko pro 2007, medium hard shank and 5X width. i have bloch axioms right now and i like them but the platform is really small and i don’t like the way they look on my feet as much as griskos. my feet are pretty wide and they are “winged”. i have a good arch; i would say they are more arched then flat but they aren’t crazy like some peoples haha. i dance on pointe at least 2 hours a week, it varys with the amount of rehearsals i have. sooo based on all that, which freed shoes would most likely be best for me? thanks!
I think you should go into a pointe shoe shop and get someone to fit you, because they are the professionals and they can find what shoe fits you best.
If you want freeds then you should just ask the person to try on different freeds.
Good luck.
