Looking for a new trumpet valve set?
I’m looking to buy a new valve set for my besson international trumpet. I would like a gold set with pearl caps. I would like to know how much this costs. It doesn’t have to be gold but preferably gold.
I’m not just looking for the caps. I’m looking for the entire valve set. And if you think that its hard to find custom caps your wrong. I know at least 10 people who have found them and family owned stores.
Okay, so my initial answer was not good enough. So what do mean an entire valve set? Do you mean the pistons along with the valve casing? That will all need to be scratch built built by a professional. How much will it cost?
Building and installing a basic 3set valve costs around $550 – $650. With the addition of gold-plating, then that’s almost another $100 – $150
