these data are in grams..the lower the standard deviation is, the more precise my measurements are.. but theres a limitation to using this a gauge to determine precision. theres hardly much deviation in the second set of data as compared to the initial one but it has a higher standard deviation. this is due to maybe the object im measuring is lighter as compared to the object used in the measurement for the 2nd set of data..so how to gauge precision? precision is how well i deliver the same measurement over repeated trials.
You strung too many characters together without a space, so we can’t see the rest of the second set of data, but I would say that to accurately interpret the precision, the is, the “repeatability” of the data, that there must be the “human element”. The formula for standard deviation can’t see all of those data points which are the same. It’s simply looking at the mean and the residuals and “doing the math”. That’s why you have a “conclusion” section in your report where you can point out such anomalies.
