What is the best back up sensor/alarm for car.?
I want to purchase an alarm sensor to detect objects behind my vehicle to protect my child. There are a wide range of systems/prices etc. so I’m looking on input from someone who actually has or installs these.
Let me clarify.. If I’ve just gotten into my car to leave why would I get out to look again unless I suspected that my child was nearby. I am interested in this item should my child unexpectedly follow me outside after I have already gotten in my car to leave. With safety locks, etc. the liklihood of this happening is rare, but I don’t want to take the chance. (1 Child a week is killed in the US in rollover accidents) By the way… No one I know walks around the car to check it out every time they get in (searching for flats etc).
I am also trying to decide between the camera and the audible alarm.
That must be a man thing?
The best sensor? Well, generally speaking the good Lord gave you two of them. It’s called getting out and looking! And I’m not being sarcastic. If more people would just take the time to Get Out And Look (G.O.A.L. fromt the smith driving system) we’d have alot less incidents.
Anwyay, if you want the “electronic” protection devices, I lean more toward the video rather than the sensors.

I don’t recommend buying one on the net though. Go to a car accessory store and take a look at some of the display models and talk to the techs.
