Scraper Set
What items should I bring for my first day as a pastry chef?
I am starting a new job at a high-class restaurant, and I don’t want to forget anything… so far i’m bringing:
extra set of clothes
cell phone (in case i need to time any baking)
thermometer
pen/sharpie combo
pencil
tide pen
small notebook that will fit in my pocket
a protein bar (so i don’t have to ask for a break)
benadryl and tylenol
pocket knife (for opening boxes)
GPS (in case there is a detour or traffic)
$ for tolls and parking
knife roll with gloves, pens, scissors, can opener, bread knife, bowl scraper/spatula and the usual knives.
any more ideas?
It will be an exciting day. But you don’t need to bring anything on your list. Everything you need will be at work. Probably within a few feet of your work station.
You might need the GPS for the first trip but you already applied for the job so you know where it is.
