Can you buy leaf cutter ants in the US?
I have been researching ants for a paper and also saw an episode of Dirty Jobs were he worked at a bug place. I was curious if anyone knows anywhere to buy leaf cutter ants in the states or if they are even legal for that matter.
Hi there…as I understand that because these species of ants are not native in the USA we would be unable to purchase these as they could become destructive to our native evironment. They can only be brought here under strict USDA guidelines used for research purposes reported to the governing agencies overseeing the species.
