Sand Paper
i want to sand my truck what sand paper shouold u start out with? then what type should i move on to and so?
i am restoring my 74 chevy stepside and i would appreciate any advise about what sand
paper i should use. Thankyou
If the current paint isn’t flaking off or peeling you can start with 320-400 grit, and go directly to a primer-surfacer. If you plan to strip it to bare metal I would use aircraft remover, and follow up with a light sanding with 80 or 120 grit before applying an etching primer, then your primer-surfacer.
