navel piercing, how soon is it safe to remove the original jewelry and put a different one? how critical is?
also how critical is it to stay with the same size post? will putting a half to whole size bigger in from the original size used to pierce cause your hole to go larger even if you wear it only for a day?
you will get mixed answers with this question. the truth is that some have an easier time than others. there’s no way to tell which one you will be. therefore, the best guidelines to follow are to leave your initial jewelry in for the duration of the healing period. which is 6-9 months.
as far as the gauge goes, navels are pierced at 14g. you will typically not find any other size navel bar. the fact that you are asking this makes me think you have a ring, rather than a navel bar.?.
at any rate, you don’t want to stretch a piercing until it is well healed. besides, any navel jewelry you will find will be 14g. i imagine there are some exceptions, but in general, this is the rule.
if you have a 16g hoop in right now, let it heal, then stretch to 14g.
be patient and let it heal. true, the girl above may not have had any problems, but risks far out weigh the benefits in this case.
