My plug in heater is making weird noises, is that normal and safe?
The heater is a year old, it’s a Delonghi Safe Heat. Making strange noises like tings and little short high pitch buzzing. Is this safe or should I unplug it before bed?
Don’t buy heaters at WalMart!
It’s gonna be a chilly night, but I’m unplugging it.
It’s normal for heaters, especially those in metal cabinets, to make little popping or clicking noises as the metal expands or contracts. But your noises seem to indicate something else. Especially if it had not been making these noises before. I would not leave the heater unattended and I certainly would switch it off before going to bed. Better safe than sorry. Is it still under warranty? Can you return it?
