Rubber Mallet

Im trying to change my brake pads on my 2006 saturn vue?

Im trying to change the rear brake pads and I cant get the drums off.Ive beat the drums with a rubber mallet and I still cant move them.Any suggestions?

i do agree on th e brake but one of the things you might have to do is adjust the brakes. the adjuster will be behind a little oval hole on the back. it will be tough to get them off. once you get them off then you will have to readjust your pads so that when you spin the drum you have little resistance while spinning it.
