Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo said on Monday there was no rift between him and Wayne Rooney despite the furore over the winger’s actions when the England forward was red carded in their World Cup quarter-final.
“There is no problem at all between me and Rooney,” Ronaldo said. “At the end of the game, we exchanged a series of text messages just as we had on the day before.
“This reinforces that I have a fine relationship with Rooney. Between the two of us, everything is clear.”
well , 4 me , i wish its true…coz i do love both of em playin in MU..but i would like to hear wat r de others’ opinion in this matter…specially English n Portuguese

Outside, all the players are friends… Ronaldo did what he had to do and Rooney showed very little control. That`s football… It´s not just about scoring and tactics, it`s also about mind games. And Rooney wasn`t up to it.
Did you see the end of Portugal-Netherlands? Deco was sitting next to two dutch players and they were just talking… So, inside the field they`re “enemies” but outside they`re friends.
Get over it!!! Rooney was well carded and Ronaldo was smart… Better luck next time!
