Exfoliation To Revive And Invigorate Your Body
By using exfoliation, discover how to remove those dead skin cells and eliminate cellulite.
One of the results of not eating properly or exercising is that our bodies become loaded with toxins that mat then be converted into an unsightly substance called cellulite. This is an accumulation of fat, fluid and toxins that have become trapped in the deeper layers of your skin, giving it a lumpy, dimpled appearance. Most women, even if they are very slim, have some cellulite because they are genetically programmed to store fat, but excess weight makes it look much worse.
Beauty experts believe that a daily and weekly body care routine, which can easily be carried out at home, will increase the elimination of toxins, helping you to get rid of fat. Specific body treatments, from exfoliation to skin brushing, will leave you feeling pampered and will significantly improve the appearance of your skin and the efficiency of your body’s elimination processes.
Skin is your body’s largest organ, losing about 1lb 2oz of waste products every day through its pores. Skin brushing helps clear the pores and makes your skin glow. It also improves blood and lymph circulation, helping to relieve water retention and enabling the more efficient removal of waste products from the cells.
Exfoliation
This describes the process of removing dead skin cells. It gives your skin a deep clean, helping it to get rid of impurities, and should be done once a week. Relax in a warm bath for 10 minutes, then rub your body all over with an exfoliating scrub — you can buy one or make your own. Pay particular attention to areas of rough skin and rub as hard as is comfortable. Wash the exfoliant off in the bath, then get out and gently pat yourself dry. Apply a body oil or thick moisturizer to help keep your skin soft and retain moisture.
Every day, a hot shower followed by a blast of cold water will do wonders for your skin and circulation. Alternate 3 minutes of hot water and 1 minute of cold water, at least once, for maximum results.
