How do I program both garage door remote controls and the keypad at the same time?
I can program the keypad to my garage door, but then the remote openers don’t work. And I can program one of the remotes, but then the keypad doesnt work. How can I program it so all three open my garage door?
I know it’s a Crafstman….but I do not know the year…it came with the house and we bought it in Aug. 07′. I can look on the back for a manufacture date later today.
If you have had the keypad & both remotes the whole time it is probably a programming issue. If any of them are new they may not be compatible.
Some of the programming directions that say to hold the learn button may cause you to erase all of the memory each time. If the LED light beside the learn button goes out while you are holding the button (approx 10 secs) the memory is erased.
Push the learn button momentarily, LED lights solid, push one remote button within 30 secs, LED flashes once & shuts off, remote is programmed, repeat for other remote. It may be easier to have a helper on the keypad, push learn button, punch in code & hit enter within 30 secs also. All should work now. Throw the directions you have in trash.
